Update from 1st June.

 We can now play doubles with anyone irrespective of whether they are from the same household. Social distancing is still in force though.

All other guidelines and rules are still in place. The clubhouse and toilets are still closed until further notice.

MOST OF ALL USE COMMON SENSE & OBEY THE RULES.

 

 

 

 

Re- opening during Lockdown

The courts will re-open again today, 19th May from 1pm. We are following guidelines set by the government and the LTA, plus a few others instigated by the club. There are notices on the gates and the clubhouse setting out the LTA guidelines.

The club is open to members ONLY - no guest players allowed.

The courts have new locks. A new key will be available on payment of membership fees and the handing in of the old key, or for £5.

No players displaying symptoms of the virus should attend the club for any reason.

You can play singles with someone not from your household, or doubles with people from within your household only.

The nets will be set at the correct height, so do not touch the net, net post or adjuster.

Members must provide their own balls, and unless playing with a member of the same household, the balls should be marked with your id. Your opponent must NOT touch the same balls.

The clubhouse will remain closed. No access is allowed to the toilets or other facilities in the clubhouse.

Please bring your own antibacterial wipes or gel and clean your hands before entering and after leaving the courts.

Please comply with the current 2 metre social distancing rules at all times.

No spectators are allowed on the courts.

No spitting on the courts.

If all the courts are in use and people are waiting to play, the players on the court longest should vacate their court within 30 minutes.

Tennis balls.

THe club have a number of unopened sealed tubes of balls for sale at £5 for a tube of 4.

 

Keith Jackson memorial walk

   This is to be an annual sponsored walk in memory of our late chairman who passed away in November 2019. Moneys raised to be split between Macmillan Nurses and the Tennis Club. This years walk is being held on Sunday 5th April 2020 at 09.30. For details contact Ian Smith on 07759 536455.
